Work with us
Crustacean Compassion is a not-for-profit animal welfare organisation dedicated to the humane treatment of decapod crustaceans such as lobsters, crabs and prawns, based on scientific evidence of their sentience. We are a small team of animal welfare professionals, and our work is grounded in scientific evidence and ethical reasoning.
Despite our small size we are well-respected in NGO and political circles for our reasoned, determined and creative approach. We raise public awareness of the sentience of decapod crustaceans, work with food businesses to implement changes to their practices and we support Government decisions with evidence based research. We have received significant public and political attention which has prompted widespread media coverage and are in regular engagement with relevant government departments.
