Crustacean Compassion Day

Join us for Crustacean Compassion Day – 10 June 2025

Crabs, lobsters, prawns and other decapod crustaceans are more than just seafood – they are sentient animals with quirky behaviour, complex lives and vital roles in our ecosystem. And, let’s face it, they’re pretty cute too! On Crustacean Compassion Day, we come together to celebrate, protect and raise awareness for these special, fascinating animals.

Crustaceans are not only crucial to the health of our oceans, but they are also extraordinary creatures… intelligent, sensitive, and deserving of our respect and care.

This day is dedicated to honouring their role in the natural world and shining a light on the challenges they face, from welfare issues to environmental threats.

On 10 June 2025, we invite you to join us for a day of education, celebration and action
