Suzanne Featherstone

Fundraising Manager

I joined Crustacean Compassion to focus on delivering Fundraising Strategy for this inspirational organisation. My role is a truly varied one and I spend a lot of time both scanning the horizon for exciting new funds to apply to and catching up with the latest research which underpins everything we do.  I often contact our fantastic supporters personally as we simply could not operate without them and need to understand their thoughts and views. A beach walk with my dogs makes my day (or a swim on days when the sea is crystal clear) and I volunteer with local groups to help monitor our beautiful coastline and marine creatures in Cornwall.

Favourite decapod and why, or favourite decapod fact:

I love the ancient look that lobsters have, the way they remind us of times past, after all they’ve been on the planet much longer than the human race around 350 million years or thereabouts.
