We invite artists of all skill levels to showcase their talent and creativity by submitting original artwork that celebrates the beauty and importance of all decapod crustaceans. Winning entries will be featured in our exclusive 2025 calendar, helping to raise funds for the humane treatment and protection of these often-overlooked sea creatures.

Email a photo in the form of an A4 landscape, JPEG/JPG of your artwork to info@crustaceancompassion.org with the heading 'Think outside the shell' art competition 2024', and tell us your name, age and location.
The prizes
As well as having their art feature in the Crustacean Compassion 2025 calendar, the winning entrants will also receive a Crustacean Compassion goodie bag!

Rules
•This competition is free to enter and open to everyone.
•Entrants under the age of 18 must have permission to enter from parent(s) or guardian(s). The parent or guardian of under 18s will be required to submit the application on their behalf. By submitting an entry, the parent or guardian is deemed to have given such consent and to agree to the use of the entry as described in these terms and conditions.
•Entries must be submitted by email, in JPEG or JPG format, with a maximum file size of 15 MB.
•Crustacean Compassion accepts no responsibility for damaged or lost entries. Email entry only.
•All pieces submitted must be the work of the individual who submits them, or in the case of under 18s, the work of the individual whose parent(s) or guardian(s) is submitting on their behalf.
•By submitting an art piece, entrants agree that Crustacean Compassion reserves the right to free reproduction of the image in all media to promote Crustacean Compassion. Artists will be credited if an image is used.
•Full copyright title shall be retained by the author of any entry. By submitting any entry to Crustacean Compassion, the entrant grants Crustacean Compassion a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable right and worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, display and exercise all publicity rights with respect to your entry, and/or to incorporate your entry in other works, in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your entry, and in accordance with privacy restrictions set out in Crustacean Compassion’s Privacy Policy.
•Any entry must be your original work and it must not infringe the rights of third parties including copyright, trade mark, trade secrets, privacy, publicity, personal or proprietary rights. In addition, all entries must be produced legally without trespassing on any land and no wildlife or habitats should be harmed, put at risk or unduly disturbed in the process.
•Artists will be credited if an image is used. No images will be passed to a third party unless permission has been gained from the photographer beforehand.
•Your details will not be passed on to any third party without your permission.
•Crustacean Compassion reserves the right to update the Rules and these Terms and Conditions from time to time and any updated version will be effective as soon as it is published.
•The winner may be required to participate in publicity related to the competition which may include the publication of their name and photograph/ video in any media. You agree that your personal data may be used for this purpose.
